Things to Know

  • You set the exact width and height — CropShop doesn't guess or auto-crop unless you tell it to.
  • Each image gets its own crop/zoom preview, so batch-resizing a mixed set of photos doesn't mean the same crop gets forced on all of them.
  • Resizing to smaller dimensions usually shrinks file size too, as a side effect — but if file size is the actual goal, the Image Compressor is built for that specifically.

Do I need to know the exact pixel size before I start?

It helps, but you don't have to be precise going in — you can adjust width and height and see the crop preview update live before committing.

Will resizing stretch or distort my photo?

Not unless you want it to — you can lock the aspect ratio so width and height scale together, or unlock it if you genuinely need a different shape.

Can I resize a batch of images to the same size at once?

Yes — up to 30 at a time, each with its own individually adjustable crop.

Does resizing also reduce file size?

Often, since a smaller image is usually a smaller file — but that's a side effect, not the goal. Use the Compressor if file size itself is what you're solving for.

Do you keep my original file names?

Yes, if you want — there's a toggle to keep your original filenames instead of CropShop's default naming.
